Hi Members,
 
     Last night's LICOA meeting at the Bellmore Library had our Honored Guest, Marty Lyons.  As I arrived
a couple minutes late, he was already speaking & thanking our Corvette Club for "all" the help & support 
through the years. He especially thanked us for the Annual Holiday Party Help and that we (LICOA) 
totally run the proceedings.  As he spoke & told stories of "the kids" he voice cracked often with 
emotion, as his passion to this cause shows whenever Marty speaks of his kids. At the end of his talk, 
Bob B. & Tony F. awarded him on the club's behalf, a check (I think over $1000) from the silent auction
held at the awards dinner in January.
 
 Also Ron K. told us of the upcoming Raffle, handed out the raffle books, sold LICOA 45th Anniv. 
decals, and explained that ALL the prizes were donated this year, by Ron (himself) and various 
vendors that he contacted (thanks Ron), SO ALL the monies collected from the raffle would go the
the Marty Lyon's Foundation......
 
..Lets support the charities that help kids & people that are much less fortunate then we are !!
